Precast concrete is not recommended in multi-storey buildings specially foundations, columns and beams. The following are considerations while choosing precast structure elements in multi-storey buildings.
1) In high and medium Seismic Area, it should be avoided.
2) Only Precast slabs are used where spans are medium in multi-storey buildings.
3) when floors are having heavy live & impact loads and vibration, even precast slab should not be used.
4) MEP works should be properly design before starting fabrications of precast elements to avoid cutting of precast concrete which can be dangerous.
5) The surrounding area should be clear for crane to lift heavy elements of precast concrete.
1.ensure the pre cast element is free from damages or craks
2.ensure the pre element strenth is already acheeved(according to cube test report)
3 while erecting pre cast column, ensure the alignment and plump
