you work on your self, read, develop your personal skills, skills needed for the job, and take training, certificate related to your feild of work.

Briefly, internship programs, summer trainings, on job training, professional certificates, training programs. All of the previous tools can be used to face this problem but do not stay still in your place waiting for the chance you hunt it down with more qualifications gained by the training or courses.

I think companies are too stuck in the old idea of recruiting people, that's why they tend not to make any obvious steps forward. I believe there is an upcoming type of people that can mean the world to the company without having the years of experience being a year old that some companies require.

This problem has been known for long time, most university students are aware that job market has requirements and most of our universities focus on the theoretical part of education not the practical one that is close to real market. Work and study simultaneously is considered a good work experience no matter what is the domain of work. Specifically speaking, be creative and smart, know what you want from the beginning, take extra courses that are related to your work or education, manage your time and you can do it, its all in your hand.

Yes, what I have observed that when fresh candidate join organization they need to bring adaptability within their personality. I came across such candidates who still follow the casual style at work place which is not a healthy indicator. Despite of having good grades and soft skills they are unable to get registered with seniors or colleagues easily due to their non-serious behavior.
