It actually depend on the target Demographics. Most Adults are now on Facebook whereas Instagram is the platform of choice for the Younger people. Professionals tend to be active on LinkedIn and Twitter depending on the profession. So in simple words in order to have a desired click through rate one must focus on the target market, its product positioning and the advertisment content, all which in turn must be in accordance with the Campaign objective.

Hi Francis, thanks for the A2A.

I've managed projects and worked for clients in multiple domains. I'll draw an example from the work I did for a start-up in Healthcare segment in India. Before the beta launch, I had set up the online presence on Facebook (added groups and created two), twitter, Quora and google+ (solely for SEO purpose). I also created multiple Bit.ly links for each shared link to monitor the traffic and based on the assessment tweaked strategy.

While doing this, I also used whatsapp and email lists to reach out to broader audience. This was done to figure out the tone and style of content. I reached out to multiple health & medical blogs to invite them to create content for us, while we also guest-blogged a few times. This resulted in great engagement and a loyal community following for my client. Since I was doing this single-handedly, I couldn't incorporate Snapchat or Instagram Q&A's, but do incorporate video in your overall plan.

Research on your target- audience. Find out where they're logging in the most and where they're engaging more often. Find out your influencers, talk to them and follow people. Do a lot of comment marketing on sites (that maybe your competition or just draw heavy traffic).Do let me know, if you have any further questions.Hope this helps!

1. Advertise

Each paid channel has its pros and cons, so think carefully about your objectives before you reach for your credit card.

Hey thanks Francis for the A2A.

Ghada has given a very comprehensive and impressive answer but my two cents addition would be the usage of whatsapp marketing and email marketing.

You can reach out to your customers via their whatsapp - when they sign up for your product and give their details, you can share the Vanity URL of a particularly interesting page which you think would make them interested in your product/service.
