What is the reason that we can't use elevators during fire?

There are a few reasons why it isn't safe to use an elevator during a fire. The first is that fire can short-circuit the elevator call button on the fire floor and therefore cause the elevator to stop at that floor. Obviously not good. Also, an elevator shaft provides a natural chimney. As such it can quickly fill with smoke. You don't want to be trapped in a small metal box in a smoke chocked elevator shaft. If power is lost or is cut while you are in the elevator then you are stuck there. Consider too that eveyone in the building is trying to evacuate at the same time. An elevator is a terribly inefficient way to evacuate a building. You can only fit a small number of people at a time and the elevator will then stop at every floor the button has been pressed on its way to the ground floor. Last but not least if the fire is above the tenth floor the fire department will need the elevator to shuttle personnel and equipment from ground level up to an advance command post, probably two floors below the fire.

The fire can cause short circuit to electricity .. Which will make the elevator stop What happen when the elevetor stop?? First the persons inside it will trap and because the elevetor shaft too small if any leakage of smoke get in it all the persons will die suffocation Second if the fire get to the elevetor the all will die by buring cause they all trapped Third in event of fire and the elevator working all person will be paniced and and all them will try to get on it which make serious problems cause the elevetor can hold them all and the elevetor ropes may cat out or will stop working suddenly

When you will reached the fire ground must be evaluate that what is the reason of fire . This thing is helpful to covered the fire . after you will be able to shutoff the utility supplies which cause of fire. You will also able to know the class of fire and use of right fire extinguisher.

The elevator can malfunction during fire incident and you get stocked inside

main reason not to use elevator is,  elevator shaft will become like a suction shaft , fire will rush through this shaft as a result of suction force, i think we should all also include this point,

secondly electrically failure will definitely make scenario worse

It is simple and obvious that risk of entrapment in the electrical operated elevater is very high due to power isolation in fire emergery . Victim is subjected to face saffocation and burn injury if trapped. Besides this impact hazard exists as the elevator may be collapsed.

Because of many reasons, most importantly is that the elevator shaft will accumulate smoke, and electrical cut could occur at anytime, which could cause major injuries and suffocation incidents.

In the event of fire sure power will be cut off and elevator start decend via emergeny landing device(Which is backup by UPS) and it will stop on the ground floor (depend on th program configure in elevator control panel). Secondary when elevator is running a presure of air is built in the shaft which may chance to spread of fire and smoke and the both can enter in the lift cabin also. Fire manlift is design with some special features in which smoke and fire guard is there due to that flame and smoke cannot enter in the lift cabin. This is only for fire rescue team.
