Ring-Main Distribution System is more reliable among the Radial system , it is commenlly used in power distribution

Ring main distribution system is more reliable than radial bcz in this system the load (consumer) is being fed by more then one feeder and in case of failure of one feeder there is an alternative path to supply power to the connected load. Whereas, in radial there is no alternative path to supply the load in case of power interruption.

Ring main system is more reliable because feeders and distributors are in closed loop shape. If fault occurs then current will find another way to complete its path. Also current loading decreases because there are no of distributors.

Ring-main is better because it has multiple feeder mechanism.
