Not necessarily. Planning is for tasks, creativity is more related to thinking of concepts and how to perform the planned tasks.

Same job can be be planned for and done in different ways: one with traditional way of thinking and one with creative ideas. The out come is what differs.

I think creativity is very connected to a plan. You need a plan you deviate from in order to become creative ideas. The more you plan, the more you can know how to deviate or altere the steps you're planning. In other words, the more you structurally build from the beginning, the more consistent stuff you'll have to alter and be creative about. I myself have written lots of speeches and stories, and what I found extraordinary is the fact that at the beginning, you never know what to write, and after starting, you never know when to stop. The more material you have that can be changed, the bigger the changes are going to be!

Planning and creativity are interlinked as creativity is with planning. to put creativity in real shape you need to plan it first and then show your creativity

Planning itself requires creativity, but it does kill spontaneity, a skill we will never use in project management, but we do use it a lot in social life, so dont let excess planning affect your own life.

Planning is neccessary for proper execution of tasks and ideas. Planning is also organizing and it can enable creativity. A mundane routine might curb creativity whereas a plan to create can be a facilitator to creativity.

Good planning is paying good dividends is that the exaggerated destroys the creativity area that should be enjoyed by and care for her and good planning is resilient so as not to hinder creativity The area you are thinking of owned and works to revitalize and come out of her creative vision to add new planned That were not well there is no need for planning have made of yourself mechanical machine outside the scope of your humanity , we put the plan as a guide for us not as constraints our respect for creativity as long as we show that what is in this plan is not correct and that there is a way more appropriate , better and with a lot of creativity and save effort , time and money

I think planning is more on preparation to make your work in proper procedure and creativity is like a on the spot decision

Hi Zain, thank you for inviting comments. I think that when we plan, we are actually thinking ahead ie visioning. A plan for something or the other means it is in the future and of course that means it hasn't been created as yet. So that planning at its very core suggests creativity. One has to visualize, then create the plan.  In that context, planning in fact, needs creativity. To execute the plan you obviously must then decide on the strategies, projects etc. Essentially, then, strategic planning requires creativity and in reality sustains it. However, there are instances when the context changes and a plan has to be emerged from existing procedures, which in essence requires little creativity since there can be little or no deviation from the set procedures. so that resources must be gathered and used in a very specific way.

Having led many strategic planning initiatives for various organizations, I'm always excited about the creativity that is required. In this regard, creativity leads planning to ensure future outcomes.

I think good planning is a procedural process with very little room for creativity but needs a highly sophisticated set of skills, where as monitoring and control is the processing group that needs creativity

Honestly NO, both tends to walk hand in hand, when planning is achieved creativity becomes  avaluable step in getting to the end result. while being creative could also be a first step to build dream or long goal then planning has to become a step to achieve the creativity.
