What are the things I should do to avoid getting a cultural shock when I start my studies abroad?

- Read about the country you are moving to,

- Arm yourself with knowledge, 

- Gather as much information as possible,

- Check Do's & Dont's, understand what is acceptable and what will be offensive to locals,

- Respect the lifestyle, regardless you agree or not,

- Be understanding and most important be yourself; moving abroad does not mean you have to change who you are,

- Be kind, 

- Socialise and participate in events to have better understanding,

- Ask questions to educate yourself about your new environment, avoid assuming. Keep in mind we are all the same, regardless of race, religion, gender, nationality... etc; there is no US and THEM, only WE (Humans).
