pre-sales specialist is involved much ahead in the sales cycle where pre-sales will understand need and requirement of the customer in order to provide the solution that is before a contract is written with a customer. Post sales specialists are some one who is engaged after the contract signature, and setting up implementation the way the project work . Needless to say, there should be a co-ordination between all phases.
All the activities that are undertaken to convert a new customer lead or even existing customers in to an acquired customer or up-sold new business to an existing customer. This includes (but not limited to):
· Understand customer challenges and target solution requirements
· Prepare technical part of response to RFPs and RFIs
· Work with multiple Account Executives and wider Sales team to support opportunity qualification process
· Direct presentations to prospective customers and partners using knowledge of industry trends and standards and common industry challenges coupled with your company’s solution knowledge
· Develop product demonstrations, including specification, testing, and delivery
· Drive the process of delivering high-quality product and architecture presentations and demonstrations
· Configure the products and demonstrate advanced product concepts
· Assist account teams in ensuring customer satisfaction
· Represent your company as a general industry Subject Matter Expert
is a process or a set of activities/sales normally carried out before a customer is acquired, though sometimes presales also extends into the period the product or service is delivered to the customer.
These are the two main phases of Sales services. The predecessor includes designing and compliance to the End-user requirement while the successor include Maintenance and warranties.
