Both are equally important , A good product will create the name instantly but if not properly backed by services it will fall down soon...So both are equally important.

Success depends upon both!

Friendly Service is only 20%!!

You go to a restaurant. They can smile till their jaws ache, hold your chair for you when you sit down, and refold your napkin every time you leave the table, but if the food is no good, you're not likely to go back.

Therefore everyone started producing good product but by delivering through friendly service oriented people is only the competitive advantage one will make the difference and excel in this competitive world.

I think there are two phases:

- The first one is all about the product. You need to convince your (potential) clients that your product worths it and provoke the buying act.

- The second phase is all about the friendly and fast service that you can put in practice only once the product was bought.

After proving the quality of your product, the quality of your service will retain customers.

Most of the companies lack Customer service  these days . It has become very hard to find companies with a good and fast service.

There are so many factors that contribute to the success of a company. Sometime even a bad product can be made good by the prompt services provided by the company. Friendly approach come to effect only if the enduser is directly linked with the company. I dont think that plays a vital role in the success of a company. But one think is very clear even a good product can be rejected by the market if the service provided is bad. As mentioned earlier, some of the other factors that may contribute to the success of the company are, How is the demand for the product in the market place ( Market Potential or Demand) How cost effective is the product to the enduser? what are the unique selling points of the product? so on and so forth. More over a company may not only deal with one product. it may have multiple product and each one of them may vary in quality.Demand, Supplies etc. Hence i conclude by saying over and above these three points mentioned by you, there are lot more to factors that are involved in the Success of a Company.

Well, As per my opinion the most important to a Company's success is to achieve customer satisfaction by delivering solutions which suits their needs. And these all wouldn't be possible without a good product, friendly and fast service.

a company's success needs both to have a good product and good customer service. No company would like to be remembered by a client or customer about bad service nor a bad product.
