It depends upon the scenario and the environmental circumstances you are in as a leader matters.

In case of a leader in a company, he is the representative of that company thereby is a Agent of that company.

My 2 cents. Thanks.

For a born leader transforming into any role would be very easy.

Agent works as per given tasks (I would see agent as manger ) who takes tasks from and pass them on to team memebers - so agent have very limited scope - hit the target given and meet deadline and deliver the product as asked.

Whereas Leaders drive the direction, create tasks for agents and making sure their vision get implemented/refined/re-implemented.

So in my opinion for a leader to accept a job as agent will limit its potiental.

Yes, it is ...

Since leadership is an adjective and inherent  skillsmore than position, so leader can work anything beside his-her position as a leader.

Furthermore, mentioned skills can be embodied. In every shap of work ; Sales RP, Marketing Person, Agent, Manager, PR officer, maintenance person, office boy, teamleader...

i see people who were managers and they worked as sales agents now , there is no shame , we need to accept what is written for us , plus we dont accept that fact we still have a chance to look for another job.

Yes, it could be possible. It depends on what is the type of leadership and how can be driven. Also, it depends of the agent's skill set in order to act as a leader within the team.

Leader will have no issue in doing any job because he believes no job is unimportant in the organisation. He is known for filling gaps. He is known for keeping the pace of the work. He is high on morale. Only these things will make him a leader.

Being a good follower is as tough as being a good leader, maybe tougher. Ask yourself, “How would I want someone on my team to do this job if I were running things?” Then work on doing the job that way. People will take note of how ego-less and supportive you are.

In my opinion it is not possible for a leader to accept working as an agent..primarily so because Leader is very much a part of the organisation & the team so it sounds like an external resource working towards attaining a target or cause if branded as an Agent ...whereas the leader has to very much be an indispencible part of the team to achieve the common goal.

Limiting his skills and may increase his income but will be for short time, but for long term should not accept it.

In my opinion leader should not be accepting working as an agent in any circumstances since sometime this may negatively influence his entire team and loose trust between leader and his members.
