The simplest answer is: as long as the economy is dependent only on oil. There is also another question from what perspective we can treat low oil prices, as OPEC decisions or as a result of weak consumption. We can also treat it as a return to standard or normal prices from over 20 years ago.So far there is no drastic change in the trend (despite of return of inflation in many countries) in my opinion there are only two ways use of foreign reserves or reform, in other words wait and cry or live and go ahead.

In fact, they are not suffering when it comes to numbers since the cost of production per barrel is still less than $10 and they know the longer the prices stay low the longer G7 suffer, especially that most GCC countries have giant investment funds that feed any short coming in the general income.

until or unless the Gulf nations do not understand their own economics conditions .

"The most affected is the middle class, not the top people," he said. "They can survive, like the Gulf States, for another 30 years with the money they have."

from my point of view, they will suffer until the  diversify their economy, such as AUE, and working on SMEs development and sustainability, in addition the oil prices are linked to political war in MENA, and its will never stops, anther option that open for gulf countries is to start developing clean angry sector, and use the sun and wind power to reduces the dependent on oil.

The challenges in front oil business are complex.Starting from shale oil to sand and green & renuable energy..We agree that USA are getting more and more independent from GCC oil. Add to above cost of wars in the reagon . If oil can maintain $50 range..we will be lucky
