Negotiation skills should be attached to every one.  You negotiate every day in your house, in the street, during your work so its not only managers.  its even you if you are not one of them. :)

YES, and as you move up the ladder it becomes more critical to have such talent.

Let me first start by saying that you cannot evolve without this skill in life (personal or professional), I’ve seen lots of people can't break the status quo simply because they can't negotiate themselves out of a situation. In the end it’s a personal preference whether you want to evolve or you want to stand comfortably in that spot.

 

Allow me to tell you this, and don't be surprised: Everything is negotiable, like it or not, you're a negotiator. Whether you're dealing with your spouse, boss, department store, bank manager, children, solicitor, or best friend - in every encounter with other people, negotiating is always taking place. And how well you handle those encounters determines whether you prosper happily or suffer frustration and loss.

It’s a talent that you can learn and master, for that i suggest you read this amazing book, you will thank me later.
