Aquiring a managerial position depends on many factors, experience is an important factor among other factors. Some studies suggest that if you spend 10,000 hours doing the same job, you will master it and become a expert in your field of practice. The 10,000 work hours are equivalent to 5 years. But this rule does not apply to everyone, some might need more or less time. moreover, having 5 years experience does not mean that you will be a manager automatically. It's just another step forward on your way to success.
