I think the challeges are recruit still with plenty of candidate but stiil too difficult to find the best one fit in the position. The 2nd one is the retintion thr HR and other departments will invest more to keep the efficient employee for 4-7 years.

The biggest challenge is handling grievances raised due to conflicts within the organization. Every employee is worthy for the organization and we cannot lose them after we reach a point so we need to make sure we do not loose anyone. The other challenge is salary, most employees share their salary details with other employees and this may demotivate employees with low salary. Beside this I have seen some HR's who don't have basic knowledge in recruiting. We can say they don't know the difference between a horse and donkey

1. Best suitable fit candidate for selection

2. Market competitative rewards 

3. Succession planning for internal staff

4. Employees Switching costs 

5. Dislocation of internal employees and employee performance 

6. Most important right person for right job (market saturation plays a vital role) 

 

Generally we can add many other issues, but in my opinion, above mentioned issues are important.
