Its always a good practice to have a written procedure and guidelines in place for a routine and regular work, so that the work be done in a standard way...sure it is of useful and help manage things and at the same time need to act dynamically when there is a requirement and it is suppose to be one of the trait of the manager instantaneosly based on the required and need arises. Thanks.

Thanks for invitation dear Rana, From my current experience in admin. assistant role I should confirm that written SOP /staff operation procedure/ is very useful guideline, which should be "alive" means communicate to staff in person and if needed amend/adjust.

Definately, SOP's (standard operating procedure) provide the process benchmark. They should be reviewed at least annually for current process changes and amendments.

the SOP is a valuable source document for training.

The SOP also provides a benchmark for when system or process fails and a quick reference of where to look for root cause.

Good Day Rana. Thanks for invitation. In my opinion, the answer is absolutely yes. In fact procedures and guidelines are a big part of rules at work. Work without rules is like a human life without laws, can we imagine That ?
