What is the importance of performance management?

We believe that there is a strong willingness among individuals to set up and reach goals. No matter if it concerns personal achievements or a professional career, a clear and outspoken goal and a continuous follow up of the progress towards that goal will enhance performance. However, it is very important to understand the fundamental purpose of introducing goals and following up goals in an organization, so called Corporate Performance Management (CPM). The value of having goals is not the goals themselves, but to create a behavior among all employees which is in line with the organization’s strategy.
