I usually eat in the office pantry/ lunch room with my colleagues if I'm in the office. Ideally I will be having lunch with a client or a prospect.
I believe taking a short break from work in the middle of the day helps socialize with and understand our colleagues and lets us pick up on what is going on in the organization. I have also read that it improves productivity, clarity, gives new ideas and improves our overall performance in the work place.
So as long as we keep it short and sweet (max 30 minutes), a lunch BREAK is a good thing.
I usually eat my lunch away from my desk, and I think it's better to avoid any sudden visit from a client, the food smell all over and to have a refresh before getting back to work.
away from the desk with office colleague in lunch room
I usually eat away from my desk with my colleague(s) to maintain my desk clean and for me to relax my mind for a while.
Studies show that eating at your desk isn't productive because co-workers interrupt your lunch hour and you are forced to work thru it.
I believe a capable manager would definitely have the ability to manage his time perfectly. a short lunch break somewhere out of the office but still around it would provide a good boast of energy to carry on with a relaxed mind.
In the pantry room. It's always better to eat somewhere away from your desk.
Eating at your desk isn't productive, so I eat mainly away.
if we eat at desk the company can save the time.. or if we eat from outsideor other place, we can relax and make our mind free from our work. :)
Away from the desk with team member.
I think it's always good to eat with friends, coworkers, team members, at the table.
