I love using Osborn's Creative Problem Solving technique with lots of brainstorming in between to set the trend. The Steps are...
In a " Creative", manner, the problem should be solved.
I fully agree with & endorse Osborn's creative problem solving techniques that had been well laid down by Mr.Edmund Jean Rudman, its reall helful & exhaustive.
Thanx for the invitation
1- Pretend that the problem is not that important.
2- Clarify and identify the problem.
3- Formulate creative challenges.
4- Generate ideas.
5- Combine and evaluate the ideas.
6- Draw up an action plan.
Since complex problem solving requires some methodology and step-by-step action, the question is whether someone would operate in a clever way inside the box (creatively), or be flexible outside of it (creative way). Personally, I would go with the inside the box version if I was working for someone else, since accountability is in play in that case, and outside the box if I was working for myself.
I hope this helped.
I would say using your work experience first - this is the base. of course, if possible, it is good to use imagination + creativity + emphaty+ innovation in order to create a valuable creation. in all the fields the structures that are able to create valuable creations have a solid market advantage.
