A Routed protocol is a protocol that carries a datagram - its datagrams are routed by Layer3 devices - the protocol itself plays no part in how it is routed other than carrying the Layer3 destination address. There used to be a few Routed protocols, but these days there is only one of significance.Routing protocols have PDUs that carry routing information between Layer3 devices and as such implement dynamic routing. This routing information is used by the Layer3 devices to route the Routed protocol datagrams. There's a number of open standard and proprietry Routing protocols.

Routing protocols are used within a router. It helps the routers to build and maintain the routing tables in which the best path to reach a destination are saved.

Routed protocol is used to to direct user traffic between routers.

IP, IPX and Appletalk are some of the routed protocols.

Routing protocol: is responsiable for sharing networks information between routers to enable each router know what are the networks exsit and how to reach each one.

However, routed protocol such as IP and IPX is the protocol who carry the data and it use the network map which router perform using routing protocol.

in short words, routing protocol is look like tourist guide and the routed protocol is look like tourist

Routing protocol are OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, or BGP and these are protocols that distribute routing information, throughout all routers, on a network.

Routed protocols are protocols that can be sent over a routed network.

A routed protocol is a protocol by which data can be routed. Routed protocol are IP, AppleTalk, and IPX. In this kind of protocols we require an addressing scheme and subnetting.

A routed protocol is a protocol by which data can be routed. Routed protocol are IP, AppleTalk, and IPX. In this kind of protocols we require an addressing scheme and subnetting. Addressing scheme will be used to determine the network to which a host belongs and to identifying that host on that particular network. All hosts on an internetwork are using the services of a routed protocol. That means routers, servers, and workstations to. The only two routed protocols that are in use today are IP and IPX but IPX is dropped from Cisco in exams and is not in use much these days. If you are studying routed protocols the best advice is to focus on IP routed protocol.

A routing protocol is different and is only used between routers. It makes possible for routers to build and maintain routing tables. There are three classes of routing protocols- 1)distance vector, 2)link state,3)hybrid

OSPF is one of two link state protocols, the other one is IS-IS. EIGRP is the only hybrid protocol but in normal literature you will see that EIGRP is distance vector routing protocol.

A routing protocol is something that provides routing information, like RIP, EIGRP, OSPF.

A routed protocol is what uses routing, i.e what routing is for in the first place, like IP, IPX, AppleTalk.

Routed protocols are network protocols which are used to send user data from one network to another network .

Routing protocols let routers route routed protocols after a path has been determined. RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP are all examples of routing protocols.

Routed protocols are the protocols which provides support to the Network Layer Eg: IP,IPX,AppleTalk

Routing protocols determines how routed protocols are routed.

Eg: RIP,IGRP,OSPF

A routing protocol is a protocol that specifies how routers communicate with each other

A routed protocol contains the data elements required for a packet to be sent outside of its host netowkr or network segment. In other words, a routed protocol can be routed.

router protocol is used to determine the best path between routers and that is by sending information to other connected routers.

routed protocol is used for data travels like IP and IPX
