Thanks for invite , yes thy need , Leadership is almost 100% about managing people. Having great ideas and a strategic vision won’t get you far if your employees aren’t willing to follow you and too many entrepreneurs take leadership skills for granted

Thanks

I think everyone who works with other people as a team leader, supervisor, coach, preacher, and entreprenneur ( other positions) should has to have a minimum level  of soft skills and/ or leadership skills

Almost goes without saying that leadership is essential for an entrepreneur. How else would someone get ahead if he was unable to lead.

yes the enterpreneure should have leadership skills.

Leadership is the ability to see a problem and be the solution. So many people are willing to talk about problems or can even empathize, but not many can see the problem or challenge and rise to it. It takes a leader to truly see a problem as a challenge and want to drive toward it. That is what causes people to want to follow, and a true leader has a following .

The answer is Yes again No.

Well certain Entrepreneurs have never studied business or leadership but they are enormously successful like Bill Gates or Zuckerberg because not all entrepreneurship require knowledge of all function of the business and its human resource, their companies have CEO who is manages the business for the owners.

How ever if your business is going to be small and very much depended on your decision or if you are going to be in control of it then yes to control the performance of your staff you would need good leadership skills an example could be Sir Richard Branson as he is quite popular these days for business tips.

I would say leadership skills would be an advantage for an enterpreneur but not all entrepreneur requires in depth understanding of all aspect of the business. So its not absolutely essential for everyone.

In fact being and entrepreneur is all about being a leader. It is an inside out journey that one embarks on.  Just like in any leadership practice one has to start from within (self)  first, similarly as an entrepreneur one has to get hands on and Walk The Talk.  More so as an entrepreneur if you only want 9-5 workers then leadership is not really a Must Have however if you are looking to work and grow with like minded free birds then ones leadership qualities will play an important role in identifying and channelizing strong suits of the other team members.

Of course the Top Skills Every Entrepreneur Needs are:

  1. Resiliency. The ability to weather the ups and downs of any business since it never goes exactly the way the business plan described it. This skill enables the entrepreneur to keep going when the outlook is bleak.
  2. Focus. After setting a long term vision, knowing how to “laser focus” on the very next step to get closer to the ultimate goal. There are so many distracting forces when trying to build a business that this skill is not easy to master.
  3. Invest for the long-term. Most entrepreneurs are not patient and focus only on what comes next, rather than where the company needs to go. Overnight success may take 7 to 10 years. Entrepreneurs need to stop, pause and plan on a quarterly basis.
  4. Find and manage people. Only by learning to leverage employees, vendors and other resources will an entrepreneur build a scalable company. They need to learn to network to meet the right people. Entrepreneurs strive to guarantee they will get honest and timely feedback from all these sources.
  5. Sell. Every entrepreneur is a sales person whether they want to be or not. They are either selling their ideas, products or services to customers, investors or employees. They work to be there when customers are ready to buy. Alternately, they know how to let go and move on when they are not.
  6. Learn. Successful entrepreneurs realize they don’t know everything and the market is constantly changing. They stay up to date on new systems, technology, and industry trends.
  7. Self-reflection. Allow downtime to reflect on the past and plan for the future. Always working only leads to burnout physically and emotionally.
  8. Self-reliance: While there is a lot of help for the entrepreneur, in the end, they need to be resourceful enough to depend on themselves.

Great leaders have a certain quality about them. These qualities of leadership inspire confidence and hard work. It simultaneously instills a “we’re all in this together” kind of camaraderie and a faith that someone is, indeed, steering everything in the right direction. It is leadership, and it’s not as innate, as unachievable, as you might think.
