I think that any person can become a blogger. Blogging isn't only about writing but about sharing experiences and recording them over the internet in a massively aesthetic manner!

Having said this: I am a writer and a blogger: Yet I slack. :( I will definitely get more active on my blogs from now on!

Thanks for such a fantastic question, Samar!

No, to be a blogger one has to have interest in doing it for fun rather than profit; something a writer by-profession seeks. Blogging is a different, more brief format as opposed to writing which involves longer, complex works. E.g a book is different between a blog post.

I think that blogging requires that the blogger not only possess quality writing skills, but also that the blogger has a consistent and discernible aesthetic that comes through and appeals to readers in the presentation of the blog.
