  • When hiring inactive person inside active team
  • When he - she does not evaluate team in scientific manner
  • When he - she ignor team efforts
  • When he - she puts inreachable goals for them
  • When he - she does not try to isolate him-herself out of team
  • When he - she does not try to acclimate him-herself with team culture
  • When he - she try to make a glory for him-herself by his-her team not with them

A team leader is likely to fail if he is not solution finder and people focused. Another reason for failure is lacking understanding and appreciation o the team members. To be a successful team leader one must be a very good listener and honest communicator. The focus has to be always on the team. The team must stay strong in times of success and even stronger in times of challenges.

Team leadership speaks directly to the art of managing people. In a team, there are people of diverse backgrounds in terms of professional training, and I might add different cultures. All of this diversity must be managed to meet goals and objectives that are coearly articulated and understood.

A team leader must be tactful, yet firm, understanding yet focused, knowledgeable and dedicated to achieving those goals.

So therefore, managing diversity, being knowledgeable, commitment and dedication, and the ability to clearly articulate and set goals are key elements to success.

If a team leader does not meet these requirements then most likely, he or she will fail.
