..on certain slot machines because it is only he/she that uses that machine, how would you deal with this situation?
Explain to the customer in a very calm and understandable way that it is against the policy. and Try offering some other privileges.
It is really difficult to work with or handle egoistic people or people with very strange personalities, mannerism & characters; sometimes you need to professionally involve management to help you sort out such problems because confronting such people could make you loose your job- "big custmer's word" against an "employee's word" before management could cost you your job although the customer is in the wrong. On the hand, you can politely talk to them & try to make them understand your position, if they fail to listen or understand then you can forward your issue to mgt.
