Every organization rates its talents in some ways! The reasoning has a lot to do with ‘sharing’ the allocated bonus pool. The rating is also beneficial to establish the stars that have earned development and promotion going forward. Individual talents would leave to competition if their contribution was not recognized. The effectiveness of rating depends on the quality of execution. Using the Bell Curve is one way of doing this.
