Is it time now for the gulf countries to have their own comprehensive cancer centers with stem cell transplant & research facilities?

Outside Saudi Arabia, only few gulf countries have stem cell transplant facilities that are not large enough to serve the nationals and expatriates. Not only the governmental health authorities, but also the private sector can take realistic steps to achieve this goal. This field is a rapidly growing one and it is not limited to hematologic cancers and bone marrow failure syndromes.
