Green Book type FIDIC is used mostly in case of fairly simple or repetitive work or work of short duration without the need for specialist sub-contracts. Also it includes rules for adjudication of contractual disputes.

The Yellow Book can be used for construction works where the  design is carried out by the Contractor, in accordance with the Employer’s requirements, which may include any combination of civil, mechanical, electrical and/or construction works. Take care that Particular Conditions regarding the risk allocation for ground conditions is an Employer risk in the standard draft.
