Project is composed of several activities and each activity has a predefined budget allocation. So, a report with progress of different activities of the project in percentage and the amount spent on that activities may provide a clear update to the Management.
So, the option D with all components of WBS activities, progress in %, amount spent and actual completion date of each activities would provide best picture.
The project manager should regularly give senior management a report in which he writes that the work is progressing and how much money was spent in relation to the approved plan.
If the deviation is greater need to revise the plan.

higher management is well concerned about the execution percentage of work completion and the time of executions and the cost involved versus to what is planned so the items of concern here are C. Work breakdown schedule.D. Project management plan.
