Certain type of stem cell, called mesenchymal stem cell [MSCs], can be obtained from various sources including: bone marrow, umbilical cord blood, placenta etc are usually useful in tissue regeneration ie treating injured or degenerative joints including knee joints.

After obtaining these stem cells from specific sources, for instance the bone marrow, they undergo centrifugation and other procedures in the research laboratory then they can be injected into the affected joints.

With regard to joint disorders, various forms of stem cells, particularly MSCs, have been found to be useful in the treatment of the following causes of joint problems/diseases:

1- Tissue injuries

2- Osteoarthritis

3- Arthritis due to autoimmune or collagen vascular disorders such as: rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythromatosis [SLE].

Stem  cell have  some  potencial in repontenciate ( repair  ) in  some  degree the  cartilage damage  but  depend of  the  artritits  grade  it  coludnt  be  the  solution 

 Stem cells obtained from bone marrow aspiration.It injected in to the knee joint to repair destructed cartilage and ligaments and to form new tissues.
