Can someone explain in simple words what is logistics and scm and the difference between logistics & scm?

Logistics involves the materials movement upstream and downstream process from supplier through production and end to the final custoemer 

 

Supply chain in the network of organisation that carries out the process of good movement  through the various partners , building effective network and effective performance and relationship building for joint business objectives 

Logistics is the strategic acquisition of raw materials,work-in-progress,finished products while maximising profitabity and customer satisfactin while reducing the overall cost in supply chain. Supply chain is the management of both the upstream(materials management) and downward operations(physical distribution management)
