Rome was not built in a day !!

A fresher in HR need to start as a executive under a good mentor, so as to improve their ground level understanding.

Management is not a skill learned during studies. It is the combination of his personal ability to interact and lead teams and experiences acquired during his professional career.

The manager must make the right decisions and they are often wiser with experience.

So, I can only recommend that fresh graduates look for assistant positions where they can observe their boss and compare their opinion with his decisions and final results.

As a fresh graduate in HR, it is important to start as a graduate intern in the HR department to have proper induction to your career. Opportunities can be found through emplyment agencies, print and electronic media, networking and unsolicited applications. After spending sometime as a trainee, one or two years, you will be ready to join the main stream career path as an  HR assistant, then Officer and so on until you reach the helm. Mostly this will be the director position. The period of progression varies from one company to another and is driven by circumstances and performance.
