Every profession puts the practitioner in different situations.

The software engineer will not have to face the frailty of human life as a doctor will and thus will not have to train himself to be immune to it.

The Doctor on the other hand has to be prepared mentally and emotionally to move on to the next patient if he realizes he cannot do more.

Auditors are as a job role supposed to be nonchalant and be able to take stock of a process or situation and make a report without taking into consideration his personal feelings about it.

Despite this only managers with higher emotional quotients will be able to take stock of a problem and provide the apt resolution.

This is because a manager should also be able to analyse the problem at the ground level, from the level of the implementer - if he fails to do this he will grossly misinterpret the time required for problem resolution - leading to project delays.
