First restart your PC and try to start the service. if that didn't work check the start up type if it is set to "Disabled"  then set it to "Automatic" and  try to start the service. If this didn't work make sure that all the services in the Dependencies tab are started and try again. If that didn't work ether then try to check the error message that pop up when the service fail to start in Microsoft support site. if the service was working before and none of the previous methods solved the issue then try to do a system restore. if that didn't solve the problem too, then try to check and determine if the problem happened after installing a certain program or driver, if so uninstall the program or driver and check again.

Check for the dependency service if failing again, check the service account status, check the event error / warning logs for service failing reasons, check the application of which service is failing, check the service location from which source its running.

Method 1: Make sure that Security Center is configured correctly

  1. Press Win + R keyboard shortcut, type services.msc, and then press ENTER.
  2. If you are prompted for confirmation, click Yes.
  3. Double-click Security Center.
  4. Click the General tab, select Automatic (delayed start) from the Startup type list, click Start, and then click OK.

In case a Windows service fails to start check the event viewer to understand if this may be caused by any corruption in the system files.

If so, then run a system repair(with the install disk, or a system restore (to an earlier point) or do a full operating system (through a recovery partition).

Otherwise, in case it has nothing to do with corrupt system files, run services as Admin, and restart all failing services and their respective dependencies whilst making sure that they are set to Automatic.
