As long as there exists drinking water and as long as the expenses of importing drinking water is less than using sea water the governmets won't go for your option. It's all political and financial rather than environmental unfortunately.

Yes, it can be. but if were using generally used treatment plant equipment's than it can be costly.

So, i have an idea to decrease its cost of treatment. In first stages of treatment we should use indigenous methods of sand and pebbles method along with De-saltation Wells and chambers to minimize its cost of treatment.

Yes, It is possible to make seawater drinkable. The seawater contains dissolved minerals and salts which are harmful for the human body. To remove these minerals and salts from seawater we use a process called "desalination".  This desalination process is helpful to make seawater drinkable.

Why not !!! If it is for domestic use one can desaline water in the house. All simple methods for removing the salt from water follow a basic principle: evaporation and collection. There are  several methods that can be used to boil salty water and collect freshwater from the steam or condensation,The most common method is a stove-top method. But if somebody want to do it in huge volume, than the methods are too expensive, which concerns heat.

I really think that although it is more expensive to desalinate the sea water for drinking usage than other sources, but it is feasible according to the needs and availability of the other sources, so any how it can solve the problem in such cases.
