Example A Pakistani opens an restaurant often called Indian Restaurant!
Hi,
Thanks for the A2A.
I have to say that this question was a real head-scratcher. Soft power of a company can be measured by the company's ranking in different aspects: how well respected is its culture, its flag, language and religious affiliations. In the case of Pakistani opening a restaurant which is confused with Indian one it is nothing to worry about because both countries have very similar cuisines and are their traditions are also similar in many ways. However to maintain a separate identity, the pakistani restaurant should have the word Pakistani, green and white colors, Urdu language menu and other national icons displayed either in the restaurant or on its branding. The flag placement is the biggest classifier.
Also, the person could play the very famous pakistani music in the restaurant - like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan or music by Nazia hasan or Abida perveen. There will be bound to be differences noticed. :)
A country's soft power, rests on three resources
