Person shows up with RESULT and the person gives REASON in place of result are visible. However, RESULT elevate the visibility and REASON dim the visibility. Be RESULT oriented rather REASON oriented

Wait into you have an opportunity to do something worthwhile in the company, or for your boss.  Doesn't have to be a huge thing, but just a little bigger than usual.  Such chances typically appear once every few months if you are looking out for them.

If possible, a week or so before this event occurs, do something socially dramatic.  "Accidentally" set fire to your clothes and run around the office screaming, or something.  Make sure nothing bad will actually happen.  This will make you the gossip of the company for a few days, and people will know who you are.  Follow this up a few days later with your successful thing.

If you can manage a third thing in the sequence, that's even better.

The point is to develop a reputation for being good for the firm.  That is easier if everybody in the firm has heard of you first.

well, first of all you should speak up.for me i love to share my ideas in meetings, discuss work with my team and my Boss. That's how i can demonstrate my knowledge and i can grow my network.

The most important way to progress in a company to become visible enough is the manner in which one talks and the knowledge with which one talks.

It is always important to develop and learn new skills, because only then it is possible to involve into more activities where one can also become visible at the same time.

  •  Seek out projects that have attention and visibility at senior level or ones that others have avoided or perceived as risky.
  •  Look for ways to interact with the top management of the company. Help them put a face to the name. Volunteering for high-profile projects and committees will help.
  •  If you have an idea that will benefit the company, don’t keep it a secret. Instead, bring it up in a meeting and get it implemented. Always be prepared to take “ownership” of your ideas.

I guess my work shoudl speak of me and for me.  i do not believe in being seen at all times.  Yes sometimes that is detrimental but then so be it.  If my growth and welfare depends on how much I am seen around then i am in the wrong place.  this is personally only about but I do know people who think otherwise.  Someone once told me that i dont sell myself that well and my response was that i dont need to.  the right leader always knows the right people if he sees one.
