No matter how good trainer you are and how many training sessions on the same topic you've delivered before, every time it should be re-done and adjusted to specific audience group. Sales within Healthcare industry and IT industry are not the same - there are differences not only when comes to products but also customers you want to target.
Training content and highly skilled trainer could not go without each other. If you're not confident with the topic, even charisma won't save you, while lack of presentation skills and keeping audience focused could kills excellent content you want to educate.
Do the research on the needs, demographics, best and most suitable training methods, read, learn, put everything together in the whole, breathe, put the smile on and get ready to deliver "one in a million" training session!
I will say both the content and the trainer. The learning/training objectives (content) must be designed to address the training needs of the trainees which makes it a key factor as well as the trainer must have the requisite expertise to address the training objectives (content) to be achieved giving appropriate corporate examples very realistic to their work and needs. This then will add the required value to the trainees and address their needs.
Training without good content is like body without soul and Training without good trainer it becomes rocket science for most of the people like us...
So both are equally important and compliments each other....
Hope answer the question.....

Both training content and trainer are of the same and very important to achieve the goals and objectives for which training is to be held. the explanation is as,
Training Content: It must be according to the Title of Training session. for example, lecturing about Management skills where the tile of the training session is Health and Safety standards will not achieve the objectives set.
Trainer: Its more important then training content. An experience trainer understood the learning level of the target audience. for example, teaching a school student and an university student on the same level will not yield the same result.
Trainer is most effective even that if training content is not parallel to its training objectives, at least the audience will have new thing to learn and understand.
A successful training program is one which has a qualified trainer who can effectively engage his audience with a compelling and useful training content.
Always a " Trainer" makes the , " Training effective".
Thanks for the invitation,
The efficient training is a unique combination between the training materials and the trainer who facilitate this materials.
A good trainer without a good materials might build relationships with the attendees, might be likable to them but he will never give them what they came for and vice versa.
