I think the paid tv channels are better for some reasons
- Firstly you will watch your popular tv shows and movies and HD resolution which became essential now with all tv channels
- Secondly, if you have kids, you will have proper tv shows for their ages.
- Thirdly, there are channels like ( Netflix ) which recommending for you all new American Series and recently has Arabic Translation too.
No straight forward answer to such a question! But it mainly depends on the strategy and the contents of that TV
