it's depend on the project nature if it's a long term project and the project requirements /scope isn't clear and you expected a lot of changes in the future i recommend you to use agile methodology. But if every thing is clear enough and the project time is short you can use PMP iterative approach. Note, all of this must be done under your organization, Past practices, Standards and policies. Also, you have to insure that the project team is skilled enough to execute each type (Agile or PMP)
It depends on the type of organization that you are working for, type of projects that the company undertakes and the past history (Lessons learnt) & Organizational Process assests.
I personally feel that is scope is known with a fixed cose then then the PMP is a better method to adopt than Agile.
If the scope if unknown, and this keeps on changing then Agile is a better methodology
