How can you coordinate a project while one of the project team isn't doing his tasks in time and in good way ?

If question is one of a single team member , just do 1 - 2 - 1 talk with the concerned team member and find out the root cause for not doing is assigned tasks and if there is any motivational issue/s or job training issues try to set it right. Even after all this if concerned team member does not fall in line, talk to the line manager or resource manager and get him shunted out to other area where he might be able to deliver.

If the problem can't be fixed - and sometimes, it can't be - then you have to make a new schedule that is realistic. 

You will need to have some empathy and see why this particular team member is not doing well. Did he used to deliver earlier on other projects, is something bothering him/her,   you would like to talk to him/her and offer suggestion and advise on how to improve. Use colleagues to see if you can help.

 

Ultimately If he is not fit for the job or does not have the skills, you will need to look at other options.
