Customer Service:It is the assistance and advice provided by a company through its customer service personnel to those people who buy or use its products or services.
Customer Focus:It is an organizational stance in which all aspects of a company's production and delivery of goods or services are directed by the best interests of the customers.Its importance to company is that "The customer is always right, and the customer comes first"
Customer Service is requested by the client but Customer Focus is giving and offering the client the service that the company can provide to the client order increase and improve his/her experience with the company and its products
Both are business strategies to reduce churn and manage retention. Customer service attains importance within the customer focus. Customer service is the process of ensuring customer satisfaction with a product or a service while customer focus is the strategy and orientation of an organization towards serving it's clients by focusing on their needs and maintaining an effective customer relations. I think, we should implement the best of both to ensure customer happiness.
In my opinion what we serve on demand or services provided against inquiries or serve the customer as back up or supported to sales team to ensure smooth closing, would be "customer service". Other hand under customer focus, whole business efforts like product, service, and activities based on the customer needs and pre-emptive. Both customer service and customer focus are way of actions and then reactions those depending upon the product /service you deal with as well as market you target.
Customer Focus is the course of knowing or identifying the needs of the customer/clientele. While Customer Service is the act of providing the needs of the customer/clientele.
Customer Service is all about providing all the solutions to a specific problem of a customer, and also it's all about answering their questions and giving all the required details and information that the customer needs, thus giving them the satisfaction. Customer Focus is like planning and thinking about all the customer will need in the future and what we can do about it if a certain problem or concern comes up, and what shall we do about it to prevent it.
Customer service is about fixing customer issues. Customer focus prevent issues from happening and help the customer do business in a more efficient way.
