Dear Salam,

The thought of treating your customer well is one of the attributes of providing an excellent customer service. However, buying gifts & inviting your customer for dining is beyond your role unless you're working in a restaurant and you ask them to dine-in and treat them special. :)

It depends on which industry are you in. Buying gifts for customer as long as it's from the company's pocket, I don't see anything wrong. It's a gesture that every loyal customer would appreciate. But inviting your customer to a dinner, I think it is a bit much. Well, you can give the customer a dining pass/voucher though.

Dear Salam

I believe that both the giving and receiving of gifts and hospitality have an important role in facilitating business practice. A meal out with a supplier can help build a relationship.

Practically this may not be possible but in some special cases it may be considered
