Do you still believe that advertising tools such as flyers, banners, discount cards, or even street signs are still a good form of advertising after the emergence of digital marketing and social media?
Absolutely. Yes, Digital is the new platform that is commanding more & more eyeballs, but it's never a question of either/or. You always have to create a marketing mix that best suits your objectives for that particular product. It's never prudent to depend on only ONE communication channel, be it Digital or otherwise.
There is nothing called new or old for a great presentation...marketing and advertising are not among perishable goods...........they are immortal.......................
It all depends on the campaign and the target audience. If the target audience is a bit older or the audience are people that don't generally buy things online, a flyer might be a better idea.
It always depends on the campaign and the audience and you have to think critically when applying these methods. Also, I think that combining both forms is very important and can be very fruitful
Good question, wondering that why no body has left an answer yet dispute that it was viewed by 18 people.
However, digital marketing (e-marketing) is listed also under the Marketing Elements (channels and tools) where any of them should be still useful for a certain situation. For instance, conducting a specific event, exhibition and/or conference will probably require preparing flyers and banners, in the meanwhile utilizing the digital marketing (social media) in this situation is much more important to spread the message and awareness and thereafter to be used as a reminder in order to maintain and increase the customer retention. Regarding the discounting cards (the popular methodology which had used to build up the customer loyalty) it still considers one of the most important tools either in its traditional form or through the recent newly apps which concerned to provide it within their features as an electronic form. The miss use for any marketing tools regardless the old or new ones will definitely lead to bad results, therefore the solid marketing strategy plan will well take care of this and moreover it will provide an appropriate marketing calendar which will clearly sort out the the promotional activities that will be launched in addition to their marketing elements mix (channels and tools) which should definitely ensure the best convenient practice to each activity.
