Dear Cornel, thank you for addressing your question to me. As per my experience I found that many companies tend to manage their businesses based solely on financial measures. While that may have worked well in the past, the pace of business in today's world requires more comprehensive measures. Though financial measures are necessary but they can only report what has happened in the past — where a business has been, but not where it is headed.
In present times where every country is globalizing at a very fast pace. The balanced scorecard is a must for a professional organizations with long term objectives,it would help them with better scales of success as it is a management system that enables an organization to set, track, and achieve its key business strategies and objectives.
In short it is like developing an ERP for the strategic planning seperately that would assist organization's decision makers in their performance to achieve organization goals without resorting to the devlopment of allignment strategies very often.
