Maximise your printing width on press

Work with your key customers to potentially change their sizes which reduces waste, maximises throughput and reduces cost and speed to Market

I have done this several times and it's a win-win situation

Apply regular mentainance on all machines,  Proper Training to operators are very important, constant good communication among workers is essential to avoid misunderstanding specially on sizes. Offer your standard material sizes to costumers or nearest size to thier needs. because if they all give the sizes, there will be a lot of waste on your materials or give samples for them to decide. Using second hand  or near damage parts only to minimize you expenses on your machines is NOT a wise decision. Give your machines and workers a good food and surely your profit would be 100% wasteless and positively generate.

For Roto/Flexo press there are  some effective actions as:

Apply preventive maintenance system.

Apply waste monitoring system.

Increase material width as much as you can.

Motivate for less waste (very effective).

More QC monitoring for the press unit.

Check will the printing cylinders/plates before mounting on the machine.

Apply inspection system (inspection rewinding) before lamination/slitting.

Regards.
