I have BA in Civil Engineering, I would like to work in HSE Field, I wonder how my certificate could help me to get into HSE. What do I need to get into HSE? Shall I have IOSH and NEBOSH certificate? help me please.
in most Company's IOSH and Nebosh is compulsory in HSE field
Yes Safety certificates and trainings will help but most important is wide knowledged and experienced will help more to find a job in HSE field.
Dont waste your money , by trying for certification in the early stage of career first do IOSH den get some real time site experience and later you can attend for NEBOSH IGC Certification.
any one OSHA OR IOSH OR NEBOSH
My recommendation / Advice is firstly you need to have some sort of site experience to get into HSE field.
Once you are into Construction field you can go through Basic OSHA training, and after an year or two experience go for NEBOSH training.
There is minimum years of HSSE experience when going for NEBOSH/ IOSH certification. Certainly the institution will have no choice but deny you if you lack the experience because how can you pass the set of exams if you are inexperienced. You better start from the bottom by applying as OJT in the field of HSSE. Many companies are hiring inexperienced people for them to develop as the company will save more rather than pay for a well experienced HSSE.
Once you gained years of experience then go for certification.
My recommendation is that you have to train yourself towards actualizing Your goal in your desired chosen profession. NEBOSH certificate is pivotal
