Well, it's the story of my life. I am the worst job seeker ever. I came to a conclusion that most educational institutions don't care about the quality of input or output. They just want someone to fill in the shoes for the vacant post regardless of their caliber and expertise. Many times I went jobless for2 or3 years and when it happens, I enjoy my extended vacation ! :) You only live once, so I don't worry about anything. Eventually, we're all going to die ! Just Kidding :) . I wish you all good health and long life.

Due to the additional financial burden placed on privatized companies to succeed without any government help, unlike the public companies, jobs could be lost to keep more money in the company.
Best alternative option for it is search new one.

If l am fired l have every reason to be worried and jittery.lt might mean l will take the next job l land my hands on iiregardless of how compromised my status and renumeration are.If l move voluntarily out,it means l will have put in place some contigent plans during the transition(into another role) or l know l have saved enough to see me comfortable for some time.
It’s normal to feel hurt, vulnerable, or angry after losing a job. Losing your job takes forces you to make rapid changes. You may feel angry, hurt, panicked, rejected, and scared. What you need to know is that these emotions are normal. You have every right to be upset, so accept your feelings and go easy on yourself. Also remember that many, if not most, successful people have experienced major failures in their careers. But they’ve turned those failures around by picking themselves up, learning from the experience, and trying again. When bad things happen to you—like experiencing unemployment—you can grow stronger and more resilient in the process of overcoming them.
This is something everyone should be prepared for. Make sure you set aside some money for such a situation each month while you're still working. In general, you should have enough saving to pay for all necessary expenses for six months. Necessary expenses include rent, food, utilities, transportation, healthcare, and children's school fees as well as payment of support, such as payment to parents or alimony. Also set aside some amount for emergencies. This amount should be placed in a different bank account from your normal one. Preferably opt for an investment sort of account, one that places a penalty if you withdraw before a set time period has elapsed. That way, you won't be able to withdraw unless you absolutely need to. You'll also be able to earn some profit on your savings.
If you find yourself jobless and are unable to find a job quickly, this fund will help you in the time you don't have any income. The larger the fund, the better because you'll be abe to sustain a longer jobless period and won't be pressured to take jobs you don't want.
During the time that you are jobless, while acctively searching for jobs, keep yourself busy and attached to your profession by taking necessary new industry skills courses, taking freelance jobs, and training others (either paid or unpaid) on a freelance basis. For example, you can invite your neighbors (or students) and give them a class related to your job industry. All this will not only keep you attached with your profession but will make your CV look more impressive. you can talk about your experiences in job interviews. Interviewers prefer candidates who use their time wisely. On the other hand, if you tell an interviewer you haven't been doing anything related to your profession for the past few months, it will have a bad impression.
So what if you find yourself unable to do anything at all related to your profession. What do you say in your interview. In this case, you can talk about some helpful book you've read or some necessary family-bonding you've done or some necessary work that needed to be done at home. For example, you ca say, 'after working nonstop for10 years, i found this period of no-work very beneficial to rebond with my children.' Or, 'the house needed remodeling, and i had been putting it off because of my busy schedule. The past3 months of joblessness was a Godsend and I used it to renevate and remodel the house.'
One more thing you may want to do incase you find yourself jobless is volunteer work. community service is looked at highly, so even volunteering one day a week can benefit you.
1. when one gets wind of a possible job loss one must start rewriting CV and start applyinging while still employed. The signs of job loss are very apparent many times and one must prepare and be preapred .
2. It is said that one should love ones job but not the company as one never knows when the company stops loving you.
3. But if one is sincere and performing well atleast one is not inviting a situation that may result in one loosing job job . there could be extrenious reasons that have nothing to do with one's performance, like right sizing or down sizing or shutdown attimes depending the success or failure of a company for various reasons.
4. One must always continue to work and contribute to the growth the normal way till the last day and must be in a position to receive an excellent service certificate. Companies always ref to previous employers to knowmore about a candidate before recruitment.
5. Do not bad mouth or criticize or take names of previous company bosses or personnel in an interveiw. that is a big no no whatever may be the resason for ones job loss.
6. one must ask oneself always whether one is a mere cost for his employer or one is a positive contribuotr to the growth of the company.
7. Please introspect and understand clearly the reasons for a job loss apart from being in the know of external reasons or reasons proffered by employer wrt job loss.
8. Always build and be part of a network of your industry contacts on regular basis so that people know your strengths and in times of need you could fall back on the network and seek employment. this strategy doesn't work if you start contacting people after loosing the job!
9 There could be situations where you may not be loosing job but some of your colleagues may stand to loose jobs. In a scenario like that one should try and provide support to colleagues to secure jobs.
10. Keep updating and rewriting your CV to suit a current trend or job requirement as you make progress and continue to acquire knowledge, skills and experience. I am aware of cases where people lost their jobs after long long years of employment in a company and never bothered to write a CV or attend a single onterview. Such persons had to start learning to write a CV and had to be tutored to be prepared for interviews.
10. last but not the least, if a competitior zeroes in on you and approach you with an offer do consider if worth considering and attend to the due process. You need not accpet the offer but be in the market and keep your self abreast of the happenings on the job market pertaining to you. attending interveiws reveals your strnegths and areas of weakness that need attention and improvement
one must always be prepared and be ready at all times so that one never faces unemployment. Even Govt jobs do not guarantee job security. One must deserve before one desires.
