Totally agree. This is why top tier companies are very picky when it comes to celebrity endorsement. The main problem being when a celebrity is endorsed, he/she becomes the "face" of the brand. So even his personal life becomes part of the "brand experience", so for example if the celebrity gets arrested for DIU, the endorsing brand image gets hit and vice versa. If the celebrity wins the Olympics for example it leverages the brand perception.
Absolutely agreed... In some cases it may negatively impact the brand image of the product if the brand endorsers image is not suitable to the product. like......
If you ask a villain to promote the product.
or
If you ask a lady in Hijab to promote/endorse branded under garments????? (No offense it's just an example)
Agreed with Sir Jamal.
