1. Install CCTV Cameras.

2. Do not allow employees to bring bags into the shop. They need to deposit bags into lockers.

3. Held them responsible for any shoplift. if it is not possible to identify a specific person, then held everyone collectively responsible. Recover the loss. You can start with losses above industry standards. Then reduce it to a very small limit or Zero Limit.

4. Do physical count regularly.

5. Be appreciative of process deficiencies and eliminate them. Ask employee to identify process deficiencies as they are going to bear the cost of shoplifting.

Random checks is the easiest way.  Don't announce it, pick a few people at different times everyday.  This should help

Shoplifting can be minimized By following Means;

a. Monitoring by CCTV Cameras and Severe disciplinary action for identified instances

b. Enhancing employee morale by giving them authority and fair perquisites

c. Enhancing frequency of physical count as a preventive measure

d. Last but not least , Restricting unwanted visits of employees to the business place and having close eye on groupings
