Technologie it self helped to spread books, from local book stores to simples clicks
Personally I use Kindle to download and read books better than waiting for weeks that the book arrives.
Reading is a culture, either you like reading or not.
Yes, I really think that if there wasn't advancement of technology, people will read more. Because when we need something or if we want to complete a project or a work assigned to us we will try our maximum to get our work completed. We would refer a number of books by which our reading and learning skills increases.
I think it depends on the kind of reading that you mean, with technology people are now reading much more news but much less books
It depends. which generation of people are you talking about? What kind of reading material are you talking about? The reason these questions are important is because of 2 reasons: interest and availability. People read if they are interested in something to read about and also if its available. Back then, you dint have kindle or numerous book sites online. You just had to go to the nearest bookstore, news stand or magazine gallery to read something which you manually had to search for in the shelves. Now, almost everything is online. You search for it, find it and/or buy it and you read it on your tablet, smartphone, whatever.
So yes, technology did create an atmosphere for people to read more. But then again, it all depends on whether you actually like to read or not.
we read fo learn and the technologie is the result of learning
On the contrary technology has distracted people from reading and people read too much non-technology
