Google & Aramaco on Middle East
I think that is variable and depends on your age and abilities s well. Also is the on-boarding a "marketing thing" or a "culture thing". Does it assist ?
Why ? : I worked for a company who had a pack organised for the new starter. a back pack, coffee cup and a gym membership. even a voucher for gym shoes. His desk was also in a tight corner.
Unfortunately the new hire was in a wheelchair, so this welcome pack really was not a great way to start. You see the first step of on-boarding had become so routine, it didn't take into account the person they hired, or there was a gap in communication.
so perception of on-boarding and how good it is is variable - and dependant on the purpse of the process.
Thanks for the invite ............................ agreed with the answer to Mr. Tariq
